“My child is about to start using AI.”
The first AI your child uses will teach them what AI is for. Cal is built so that lesson is the right one: it will explain a concept six different ways, and it will not write the paragraph — not even a sentence of it, not even if asked directly. When your child does ask, you’ll see that in Saturday’s report, along with what happened next.
Starting in grade 7 or 8 means the habits form early, on a tutor that works from your child’s actual courses rather than a generic version of the subject. By the time the workload gets serious, asking a good question is already normal.
